Take a minute to understand the legend of this map, and you'll see a great deal of information,
compactly presented. You can see how the winds flow all around our area, and how SKY VALLEY
often gets the brunt of them!

NOTES
- Bug: Occasionally a wind gust will be interpreted as a bit of rain. I try to correct these after the fact, but the Monthly and Total Rain figures will almost always be wrong.
- Our Internet provider, FlashByte, has periods of spotty service, so there will be periods when this page cannot be updated. Apologies!
- This page updates every 15 minutes when all is working,
but your browser will probably NOT reload it automatically. You will have to refresh your copy manually.
IF you are using Mozilla FireFox, you can install the "Reload Every" add-on to automate that.
(Select "Tools > Add-ons" and then "Get Extensions.") BUT: The current version of Reload seems to work ONLY
until you do a manual reload/refresh on the page. Strange.
- Our sensors are mounted rooftop, about 16 feet above the desert sand. The temperature up there typically registers several degrees cooler than at ground level. We can't decide whether this is a defect or not. What do YOU think?
- This is an elderly
Davis Weather Monitor II
with
Ambient Virtual Weather Station Pro
software.
- For best viewing use a window wide enough for three graphs across.
- I am actively soliciting other Sky Valley residents who have weather stations to make them
available on the web, as this one's days are apparently numbered. But see link to DILLON ESTATES above.
- This page is a WORK IN PROGRESS! Send error reports and suggestions to Neil@SkyValleyCA.com. Thanks!
